Description:
We’re looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join us in either of our sites at Bradford or London
We’re developing and growing of the Lending Digital Platform, InsurTech payments and Speciality Finance payments for our operational companies across 6 European countries.
We are looking for a talented Senior Frontend Developer to join our team, good-natured, personable and professional in front-end development.
Skilled in front-end technologies such as React, and JavaScript frameworks, comfortable with DevOps principles and containerization.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative solutions and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
What will you be doing?
- Lead on the development, maintenance and integration of user-facing elements;
- Lead on all front-end software development and management;
- Lead on Unit testing, UI testing and debugging;
- Containerize applications for easy deployment and scalability;
- Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud infrastructure;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
- Take responsibility for all bug reporting, investigation, and patching;
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability and for seamless UX
- Implement security best practices and ensure data protection;
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends;
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers;
- Manage and report on frontend technical project tickets, as well as the creation of acceptance criteria, PO review testing, staging and production status management;
- Ability to undertake and take responsibility for the comprehensive documentation (existing and new) of the technological stack.
We tend to look for people with:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Frontend Developer or similar role;
- Familiarity with Google Cloud services and strong understanding of application architecture;
- Expertise in writing clean, maintainable code focused on performance and scalability.
- Proficiency in using design patterns to create efficient, maintainable, and scalable features.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Experience improving application performance with tools like Lighthouse or PageSpeed Insights;
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams;
- Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, REACT, CSS, JavaScript);
- Excellent communication, with strong emphasis on transparency and honesty, tenacity for problem – solving with an attention to details;
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture;
- Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress or Puppeteer;
- Hands-on experience with state management tools such as Redux, MobX, @ngrx, or ngxs;
- Expertise in implementing CI/CD in a frontend context;
- Experience integrating with backend APIs via GraphQL or WebSockets;
- Ability to effectively communicate web development concepts to stakeholders.
