Mō te tūranga | About the role
In this rewarding role you will be responsible for innovating, developing, testing, and implementing new software solutions within project and support/maintenance capacities during office hours. As a Senior Software Engineer for Front-End in a cross-functional team, you’ll be expected to provide leadership and mentoring to other team members. You will be expected to master the current framework and technology stack quickly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to component library
- Designing, coding, testing, and documenting large programs and modifications
- Assessing, analysing, and implementing change based on design and request
- Maintaining application support processes and investigating/monitoring issues
- Release and deployment activities (i.e. logging results, documenting technical activity undertaken)
- Working in an Agile environment
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- At least 7 plus years of substantial development experience in JavaScript and React. Commercial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge across the service layer. Affinity with UX/UI and an eye for detail are beneficial.
- Products used include but are not limited to JavaScript, React, Redux, Redux-Saga, SASS, HTML5, Jest, React-Testing-Library, Webpack, Docker, Jenkins, Git & Bitbucket, Selenium, Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Experience with functional programming
- Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Experience working in Agile environments
