Description:

Bringing that feel-good energy.
We’re the newest face amongst the E.ON group of companies. E.ON Next is all about creating a sustainable future, now. We’re moving our energy in the right direction, one little big step at a time. Join us in our mission to bring feel-good energy.
We’re also here to make this whole energy thing way easier for our customers. Like, really easy. That means providing exceptional service and using state-of-the-art tech to do it.
At E.ON Next we’re looking for the most ambitious, talented and creative people out there to join our brand new, fresh, start-up business. This isn’t energy as you know it. This is new, exciting and waiting for stars like you to shape it. Do you love delivering for customers? Are you full of energy, ideas and passion?
We’re looking for enthusiastic and resourceful frontend software engineers who are passionate about building great products. If you’re creative and inspired to invent new ways to help build amazing products that customers love, please join us! We would really love to work with you!
We’re using NextJS and React with TypeScript on the frontend, along with GraphQL to get data from our APIs. We’re using GraphQL Modules and AWS lambda functions to keep things organised in our “Backend for Frontend”.
Everything is hosted in AWS and we’re lucky enough to have CI/CD fully enabled alongside GitLab as our complete DevOps platform. Terraform also means we deploy infrastructure as code.
We’re very proud of our current tech stack. We are at the leading edge of technology and with the help and guidance of all our software engineers, we want to keep it that way.
If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing.

  • Create application frontends using React / TypeScript
  • Use a Server-less first approach to application design
  • Work in an agile team with other backend engineers and product designers.
  • Plan, build, test, and release new features and experiments.
  • Mentor other team members through pair programming and code reviews.
  • Help solve the challenges that come with large-scale systems and lots of data.
