Within the Lab data Science team, as part of dsm-firmenich’s global Science and Research organization, we are looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer.
At dsm-firmenich, your mission as a Senior Full-stack Developer will be to drive innovation in our biotechnology and food applications by developing cutting-edge software solutions. You will leverage your expertise in both backend and frontend technologies to create applications that enhance our research capabilities and improve operational efficiencies. Your work will directly contribute to our goal of creating sustainable and desirable solutions for nutrition, health, and beauty, impacting billions of people globally. You will be a key player in a diverse and dynamic team, committed to pushing the boundaries of science and technology to deliver exceptional results.

• Leading the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications that support biotechnology and food applications;
• Building and maintaining microservices using Java and Python, leveraging frameworks such as Spring and tools like Gradle and Maven;
• Developing frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, and ensuring seamless integration with backend services;
• Implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments on cloud platforms like AWS;
• Implementing and managing databases, including NoSQL options like Neo4j and Amazon DynamoDB, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval;
• Applying security best practices, such as OAuth2, to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals and user needs;
• Writing comprehensive documentation and presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
