THE ROLE

In this role, you’ll use React and any other technology you deem to be the best way to build and improve the front-end of the apps in our product lines. Your responsibilities will extend from being involved in deciding how we build our apps to participating in fleshing out what we’ll ship in our next release as well as modernizing legacy code bases.
You’ll work in a small pod, where the rest of the team will lean on you and your experience to best achieve its goals.
You’ll help implement automated testing of the product line where needed and help with manual testing of the rest. You will occasionally help with customer support, talking directly to customers and learning how they actually use the products you build.
You’ll work in a very small, focused team in a company of 13 employees to ship features and improvements to our products which service users around the world. Occasional travel may be required for key conferences in Europe and/or the United States.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop scalable and maintainable frontend components using React.js, Typescript, and related libraries.
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with the product team to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Work with the Engineering leadership to identify and implement backend technologies that will create our next generation applications.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend and backend technologies and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.
• Implementing security best practices to protect data and applications.

EXAMPLES OF YOUR DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
• Collaborate across teams about best practices and new technologies.
• Implement full stack applications that will deliver our applications to the end user.
• Optimize application performance for speed and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
