SENIOR FULL STACK ENGINEER “SYDNEY"

  About the role
  As a Full Stack Engineer you will be part of the Data Engineering team, enabling the Algorithms and AI Teams to improve our Clients Detect and Defeat performance. As part of the Data Engineering team you will assist in maintaining and contributing to our data infrastructure and tooling. This empowers us to make informed decisions, address system gaps proactively, and ultimately deliver better solutions to our clients. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the success and growth of our business in the ever-evolving field of drone technology.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in developing software
• Experience working with at least one modern TypeScript framework, React is ideal
• Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with front end languages Typescript, Javascript and one backend language from Python, GoLang and C++
• Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal
• Previous ‘start-up’ or ‘scale-up’ experience is favourable
• Familiar with Docker, Postman, GitLab, AWS is favourable
• You are a lifelong learner. You’re self-taught and continuously learning. You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise
• You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools
• You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments
• You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing
• You’re familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems
• An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry

• Design, develop and maintain existing and bespoke data annotation tools
• Design, develop and maintain internal tooling and services
• Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop
