Description:

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with an emphasis on frontend development to spearhead the development of our target prediction user interface. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying robust applications for tracking drug discovery feedback within our target prediction framework. You will work closely with our Target Prediction and Target Assessment teams, Product Managers, and Product Designers and scientist users to create effective and user-friendly solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full stack application experience from design to deployment of backend and frontend architecture.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with web frameworks and distributed computing.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong computing fundamentals, design patterns, and frontend development.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and application version management.
  • Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with node.js.
  • Familiarity with end to end and unit testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with monorepo tooling.
  • Familiarity with Vue.js, GQL, TypeScript, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of bioinformatics is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Self starter and delivery-focused, with the ability to launch and iterate on solutions.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust and reliable applications for tracking drug discovery feedback within our target prediction framework.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and UX teams to create effective user-facing solutions.
  • Review the deployment of the existing framework and determine the next best steps.
  • Extend, maintain, or deprecate parts of the existing framework based on user needs.
  • Identify and validate genetic targets in diseases in collaboration with the Target Prediction and Target Assessment teams.
