QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration with four to seven years of systems administration experience, including significant exposure to Finance or HR system environments.
  • Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA financial modules with a focus in Fund management, Grant management and understanding of FI/CO modules.
  • In-depth understanding of integrations between SAP S/4HANA with SAP Ariba, SAP BPC modules, SAP Concur and other financial legacy systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial processes operations such as master data management, budget, monthly and fiscal year end processes.
  • Strong grasp of public sector industry on the financial schema with fund and grant management.
  • Experience with other SAP solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management or software development lifecycle tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of motivating teams in challenging circumstances.
  • Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English and basic knowledge (Level 3) of spoken French.
  • SAP functional certification for the public sector or higher education or any relevant certifications is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, test and coordinate the implementation of new features, modules, or systems.
  • Provide comprehensive technical and functional analysis, defining system requirements using higher education best practices.
  • Identify and address systems’ issues promptly, ensuring seamless operations with knowledge of impacts for better prioritization.
  • Collaborate with our solution provider by raising service requests when additional support is needed to address an incident or help provide guidance on future changes.
  • Lead system release activities, participating in upgrades and evaluations as required.
  • Review, configure and customize modules according to design specifications.
  • Contribute to quality assurance tasks to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with partnering departments, providing system knowledge, training and support as well as guidance to any potential regulatory or audit requirements.
  • Manage upcoming application changes and systems enhancements, including communicating with internal teams, business process owners, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders in business terms.
  • Support your manager in departmental growth activities such as business case preparation, presentation and processes implementation.
  • Mentor and guide other team members, ensuring their growth and development as required.
