Description:
SENIOR GATEWAY ENGINEER
- Must be Citizens
- 12-month assignment with potential for 2 x 12-month extensions
- Work onsite Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne offices
Looking for a Senior Gateway Engineer with in-depth knowledge of specific ICT Platforms and to provide expert advice on managing and maintaining those platforms. Working closely with key third-party suppliers to ensure the provision of a robust gateway infrastructure capability for the business and liaising with architecture and shared services areas to ensure the security of the day-to-day technical operations.
Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage infrastructure requirements to meet future infrastructure demand and operational support for hardware, software, and other assets.
- Manage the prioritisation and escalation of infrastructure issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate the end-to-end implications of configuration changes.
- Analyse the quality of requests for change management.
- Provide detailed, specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to the senior executive where appropriate.
- Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policy and procedures and change initiatives.
- Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations on product suitability for the agency.
- Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Prepare, review, and maintain documentation which may include design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures engage and partner with other agencies and service providers to build service delivery
capability.
- Attend inter agency meetings and forums to influence business outcomes and share information.
- Encourage innovation, and continuous improvement and manage and support change.
- Influence and contribute to ICT strategy resolving conflicts as needed.
