Job Description:
SENIOR GEOLOGIST – GEOMODELLING
Crescent Petroleum Upstream is seeking a Senior Geologist, Geomodelling (SGG) to join the Subsurface Team. The SGG will be owner of geomodelling workflows and responsible for establishing and maintaining static models for Crescent Petroleum’s assets in close collaboration with seismic interpreters, a petrophysics specialist and reservoir engineers, including compiling and checking various input data types. The SGG is responsible for establishing field scale geological syntheses including palaeogeography and depositional systems focused on facies, heterogeneities, stratigraphic architecture and geometries, and be responsible for data integration and scaling. The SGG will work in close collaboration with the reservoir simulation engineers to ensure optimal representation of rock properties (discrete and continuous) and their associated uncertainties. Lastly, the SGG will be a key participant in reservoir characterisation studies and provide input to Upstream’s well delivery process.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Geology/Geoscience - MSc or PhD degree is preferred
- 5-10 years in geomodelling (E&P Operating Company or Geoscience Consultancy)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Working experience with advanced geostatistics, variograms, kriging and statistical modelling
- Working experience with fractured carbonate reservoirs
- Working experience with characterisation of fractures and discrete fracture modelling
- Understands sequence stratigraphic concepts and application to carbonate depositional systems
- Experience with geomodelling workflows including facies and property modelling
- Good understanding of statistical methods applied to resource estimation
- Proficiency in Seismic interpretation
- Experience with all elements of geomodeling workflows
- Strong computational and analytical skills
- Expert Petrel user
- Knowledge of reservoir simulation and other simulation software
Responsibilities:
