ABOUT US

At Direct Line Group, insurance is just the start. Combining decades of industry experience with talented people in every field from data, technology, customer care and auto repair, to HR, finance and procurement, we’re a customer-obsessed market powerhouse. And we all work together to be brilliant for customers, every single day.
We’ve now welcomed our new CEO, Adam Winslow, and are at the start of an exciting period of change for DLG. With ambitious plans for large-scale transformation, we’re going to see a refreshed strategy to drive value for our customers, colleagues and shareholders.

Responsibilities:

Working in an agile way means you’ll take charge early on, soak up new experiences and most importantly your ideas will shape what we do – making a positive impact on our customers lives. We’ll utilise your skills where they are most needed whilst also giving you to opportunity to build and grow the breadth of your expertise. You’ll join the Technical Risk Innovation Squad within our Home Tribe.

  • Work with other areas of pricing and underwriting and the wider business to set both risk prices across Direct Line Group and manage and maintain the geographic risk models, data and associated intelligence.
  • Work with the Home Personal Lines leadership and External Data providers to harness the most value from external sources.
  • Support prioritised projects within pricing and underwriting as required, focusing on projects involving use of GIS technology and the maintenance of geospatial rating tools.
  • Ensure all internal and externally held geographic data used internally within Personal Lines is well documented and seek external, market leading data providers.
  • Strive continuously to improve the statistical validity and efficiency of all modelling, projection processes and techniques.
  • Deliver projects into the wider pricing and underwriting team.
