ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Government Relations Officer is an integral part of the Lockton HR team in MENA. This associate is pivotal in navigating the intricate processes of visa residency and regulatory compliance. This position is entrusted with managing the day-to-day lifecycle of residency applications and ensuring seamless operations across all government relation portals, including those related to immigration, labor, pension regulations but not limited to these. By maintaining up to date systems and acting as a central contact of government inquiries, this associate plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and fostering efficient communication with government entities. Their expertise not only guarantees operational efficiency but also reinforces the organisation’s commitment to adhering to the regulatory framework of the UAE. Whilst this role will sit within the Human Resources function, due to the nature of the role, there will be interactions with various departments such as Finance and Compliance. This is a varied opportunity with scope to touch upon exciting projects as Lockton continues to expand.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring efficient handling of visa applications and renewals for the mainland office and DIFC, as well as processing visa cancellations
- Maintain and update visa trackers, collaborating with HR for seamless onboarding of new associates, and manage petty cash for visa-related payments.
- Manage the Emirati Pensions portal, coordinating with HR and Finance for necessary adjustments.
- Support Emiratization initiatives by working with the HR and PM teams, sharing insights on government changes related to Emiratization.
- Administer the ILOE insurance scheme, handling policy renewals and payments, and act as the main contact for information sharing within the HR team.
- Facilitate trade license renewals by ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and assist the compliance team with office requirements.
- Work with Finance to manage funds on the DIFC and other government portals, update MOL numbers, and submit financial records.
- Keep HRMS and Central Bank Portal updated with necessary associate documentation and manage record changes
- Create clear internal process documents and informational guides for associates, ensuring useful information is provided with clear signposting to assist in understanding procedures.Assist with visa requirements, labour card applications, and the pension process in Oman.
