Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Grant Writer, you’ll be part of Kiron’s Network Engagement team, which includes Communications, Corporate Partnerships, and Fundraising. Your focus will be on developing the grant writing function. This role is both strategic and hands-on—you’ll write grant proposals to secure funding while also helping to shape the fundraising strategy. You’ll manage the full grant process, from proposal writing to reporting and maintaining donor relationships.
YOUR TASKS
- Fundraising Initiatives: Lead institutional fundraising activities, including developing program ideas, writing grant proposals, and preparing concept notes for government agencies and multilateral organizations.
- Institutional Donor Relationships: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key institutional donors (government bodies, ministries, large funding institutions), ensuring they are engaged and informed about Kiron’s impact.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the fundraising strategy and ensure alignment with Kiron’s long-term goals.
- Grant Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of institutional grants—from application to compliance, monitoring, and reporting—ensuring donor expectations are met.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate fundraising activities across departments, facilitating smooth internal processes and communication.
- Budget Management: Support the creation and management of multi-year program budgets in line with donor requirements.
