Senior Graphic Designer

THE JOB ITSELF

Print and design are seeking an enthusiastic & talented senior graphic designer to join our team under a fixed term contract of 6 months, working 32 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have a proven and strong design background, be able to deal with a challenging workload of daily deadlines, propose design solutions for a diverse range of clients and have the ability to work on a variety of projects including digital and print media. Proficiency in pre-press and Adobe CS is essential, in particular InDesign. The studio is wholly Apple Mac based at Tokenspire Business Park near Beverley within a digital print production facility.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering exceptional services to our many clients, ensuring that design projects align with the clients priorities and overall goals
• Create high quality visual designs across various mediums
• Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences, managing their expectations and presenting design solutions
• Ensure all design adheres to brand identity and guidelines to maintain a consistency in visual identity
• Working on multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Stay updated on latest design trends and industry best practices
• Works closely with other departments and communications to ensure design work supports the broader priorities
• Support other members of the team offering constructive feedback, sharing best practice and helping in their development
• Reviewing and approving design work before it is finalised to ensure it is accurate, consistent and adheres to design specifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a senior graphic designer with a strong portfolio
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
• Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take initiative on design projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Video editing and motion graphics would be advantageous
