SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Ziff Davis Shopping helps millions of shoppers discover and save, delivering exceptional consumer and merchant-advertiser experiences across a portfolio of leading mobile and ecommerce brands. Our domestic brands include RetailMeNot, Offers.com, Blackfriday.com, TechBargains and more. We also run the leading Cash Back, Reward and Coupon codes brand in the UK (Voucher Codes). We are currently looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to add to our dynamic team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 or more years experience leading marketing design and advertising campaigns in fast-paced agency and in-house environments
  • 2 or more years managing and mentoring junior designers
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Creative Advertising, Marketing or Visual Design, Interactive Design, or related field
  • Deep knowledge of typography, layout and composition, color theory, grid systems and use of photography
  • Experience leading and delivering in Agile design and development environments
  • Proven experience leading advertising campaigns from design and copy conception through to execution across online and offline channels
  • Excellent ability to listen to needs and respond with coherently presented design methods, explorations, and tradeoff rationale to peers and executive stakeholders
  • Expert proficiency in web design tools and front-end frameworks
  • Portfolio of proven work across multiple advertising touchpoints, with a focus on static and animated design elements

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Graphic Designer will lead a team of visual designers dedicated to bringing the Ziff Davis Shopping brands to life through thoughtful, breakthrough marketing campaigns and product design placements on our owned and off-site properties.
You and your team will be responsible for leading the portfolio’s brand guidelines, using typography, color, and other elements of design to guide behavior, simplify complex sets of information, and delight our customers at signature moments in the shopping experience. You will mentor team members and set up opportunities for them to influence peers and leadership by presenting the rationale behind their designs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work with Senior Brand Manager to define a clean, polished visual aesthetic for our portfolio of shopping brands and elevate our marketing campaigns through compelling iterations of display, email and social assets
  • Create and maintain Marketing design systems, conceptualize seasonal advertising campaigns, and tie design strategy of advertising elements on and off owned-platforms to drive more user engagement
  • Manage, mentor, and develop world-class talent by recognizing the strengths and potential of the marketing design staff
  • Collaborate with Social and Video, UX Design, Product Management, and Engineering to conceptualize, design, and execute cross-platform user interfaces and campaigns
  • Clearly and concisely document and communicate visual design and associated technology standards, processes and strategy
  • Have a clear understanding of the intersection of design and copy in advertising and marketing communications, including ability to provide copywriting feedback to complement design concepts
