Description:
THE SKILLS YOU WILL BRING:
- Broad corporate legal experience from a top tier London/NY/international law firm, and/or as in-house legal counsel working across a broad spectrum of corporate, operational, and commercial legal issues.
- Ideally, previous experience working at a publicly-listed multinational company, operating in multiple jurisdictions around the world – ideally including emerging markets.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently handle and manage complex and sensitive matters, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Collaborative and a strong ability to build relationships and engage a broad range of stakeholders – both internal and external to the organisation.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills - ability to navigate ambiguity effectively, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and/or diverse perspectives and integrate these into a clear and focused strategy.
- Intellectual agility and an ability to quickly get up to speed across new subject matter and business areas.
- Leadership and strong ability to manage projects with diverse teams in different functions.
- Great prioritsation, organisation and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong legal and strategic/tactical input on complex strategic projects and initiatives for the group, including strategic corporate transactions, corporate governance and advisory matters, assurance and risk management, ESG initiatives, crisis management and regulatory / policy and corporate affairs engagement.
- Partner with team members across Ericsson’s global legal and compliance team - both expert teams and those partnering with business units / regions – and top tier legal counsel to develop and execute creative legal and business solutions that enable delivery of strategic projects and initiatives to drive Ericsson’s business strategy.
- Report to the Head of Group Strategic Projects Legal Affairs and work in close partnership with the Head of Global Legal Affairs, Global Head of M&A Legal Affairs and Head of Corporate and Finance Legal Affairs to identify and drive forward key strategic projects and initiatives for the Ericsson legal team globally, specifically focused on building capacity across the organisation to enable realisation of long-term strategic opportunity and management of risk for the group.
- Drive and execute projects, while managing risk and common sense solutions to achieve objectives, working with external advisors as appropriate.
- Be a key team member across various projects, partnering with business teams and colleagues and building relationships across the business.
- Build capability across the legal and compliance team, whilst fostering an inclusive team environment where diverse talent thrives.
