Job Description
As a Senior Hardware/Embedded Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of advanced electrical components jointly with our suppliers and embedded systems for EV charging solutions, as well as for Internet of Things (IoT) and Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS). Your expertise in embedded Software/Hardware and requirements engineering will drive innovation, while collaboration with suppliers and internal teams ensures that our products meet both technical and regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Renewable Energies, or a related field.
- Interest to dive deep to understand relevant ISO standards, communication protocols and other technical requirements to enable commercial solutions like bidirectional charging.
- Relevant experience in product development, hardware design, or application engineering, particularly in the EV charging or IoT sectors.
- Experience in embedded systems, requirements engineering, and technical supplier management.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with communication protocols such as OCCP, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and Matter over Thread.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Engineering: Gather, analyze, and document technical product requirements (e.g., EV charger relevant communication protocols, ISO standards, hardware connectors) ensuring clear communication with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Supplier Technical Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure seamless integration of components, manage product quality, and optimize cost efficiency.
- IoT and Hardware Integration: Challenge design solutions from suppliers for electronic devices, including antennas, wiring, EV chargers, inverters, connectivity solutions.
- Cross-Functional Technical Support: Provide technical guidance across departments, working closely with software and product teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
