Description:
Wenco International Mining Systems (www.wencomine.com), a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM), provides industry leading, innovative technologies to customers in the mining and material movement sectors, enabling sustainable and safe operations.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Hardware Technician will support new projects and existing customers and will mentor team members on such projects within the hardware team. Their primary role will be to perform installation work and repairs of mobile computer and communication systems on heavy and light duty mining equipment.
ENTREGABLES Y RESPONSABILIDADES CLAVE:
- Asesorar a miembros del equipo en funciones de técnico de hardware y analista de hardware
- Realizar trabajos de instalación repetitivos con éxito en una amplia gama de vehículos de flota con un análisis avanzado de causas de ruta para instalaciones.
- Brindar capacitación práctica sobre software y hardware de la empresa.
- Instalar sistemas de hardware Wenco que incluyen computadoras, radios y antenas GPS y cables de antena resistentes
- Instalación y configuraciones de redes.
- Conectarse a varias aplicaciones de voltaje de CC trabajando con el personal de la mina
- Instalar, aprobar, solucionar problemas y reparar el equipo de la empresa tanto de forma remota como in situ.
- Documentar los procedimientos de instalación y proporcionar informes de progreso.
- Gestionar eficazmente la relación de Wenco con las minas.
- Revisar y contribuir a las mejoras del producto.
- Evaluar y asegurarse de que los miembros del equipo estén siguiendo los procedimientos de seguridad del área de trabajo.
Experiencia y conocimiento
- 6 a 10 años de experiencia en instalaciones de hardware y redes.
- Conocimientos avanzados de los sistemas GNSS
- Capacidad para trabajar con computadoras con sistema operativo Windows (sistemas operativos XPe, XP, Win7 y Win10 IoT)
- Reconocimiento y comprensión avanzados de las tecnologías de redes y radio
- Nivel avanzado de detección de fallas eléctricas
- Conocimientos moderados con los sistemas operativos Windows Server (2008 - 2016)
- Experiencia y/o conocimiento minero sería un activo
- Licencia de conducir válida (excelente historial de conducción sin infracciones importantes)

Experience and Knowledge

- Advanced level of electrical fault finding

Responsibilities:
- Mentor team members in Hardware Technician and Hardware Analyst roles
- Perform successful repetitive installation work on large range of fleet vehicles with advanced route cause analysis for installations.
- Provide hands-on-training on company software and hardware
- Install Wenco hardware systems which include rugged computers, radios, and GPS antennas and antenna cables
- Installation and configurations of networks.
- Connect to various DC volt applications by working with mine personnel
- Install, test, troubleshoot and repair company equipment both remotely and on site
- Document installation procedures and provide progress reports
- Effectively manage Wenco’s relationship with mine sites
- Review and contribute to product improvements
- Evaluate and ensure team members are following safety procedures of the work area

Reportando al Gerente de Proyectos, el Técnico Senior de Hardware apoyará nuevos proyectos y clientes existentes y será el mentor de los miembros del equipo en dichos proyectos dentro del equipo de hardware. Su función principal será realizar trabajos de instalación y reparación de computadoras móviles y sistemas de comunicación en equipos de minería, de servicio pesado y liviano.
