As a senior test engineer at Domino, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in the assessment of product requirements and risks and determining appropriate testing strategies to address the questions arising and mitigate product performance risks. The role will also involve the development of test techniques and associated documentation. Some hands-on testing will be required. The translation of test data into meaningful information is key and therefore various calculations and some appreciation of statistical techniques is required.

What you will do

• Work collaboratively with product managers and development teams to ensure that product requirements are measurable and verifiable.
• Design, develop and deploy test specification and test strategies, with a focus on product reliability and mitigation of performance risks.
• Analyse results and prepare and maintain test reports, metrics, and documentation for presentation to management and other stakeholders.
• Co-ordinate the day-to-day workload of junior engineers and technicians.
• Actively participate in knowledge distribution, by supporting/training and advising colleagues in terms of operational and testing best practice, to support and improve quality of our systems and procedures.
• Issue clear and timely progress/status updates to project teams.
• Identify, report, and track defects, working closely with development teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Use root cause analysis fault finding methods to resolve product and test equipment issues.

About you

• Degree in suitable engineering field.
• Experience of working in an Engineering/Scientific environment.
• Knowledge of continuous inkjet or digital printing would be an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience of the development life cycle.
• Ability to interact with customers and understand the outcomes they require.
• Experience of risk analysis in product development (e.g. DFMEA).
• Understanding of what constitutes a measurable and testable requirement.
• An awareness of statistical approaches and reliability analysis.
• Critical analysis of test results - has the question been answered adequately?
