Description:
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
The role will
- Manage development, implementation and evaluation of statewide preventive health initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and women - Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, peoples and communities to support preventive health and ensure culturally appropriate delivery of preventive health interventions to reach rural and metropolitan Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and women.- Prepare and provide high-level analytical advice to guide the practical application of contemporary evidence and theory in preventive health policy, interventions and reform in a range of settings for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and women. - Contribute to preventive health and equity research and evaluation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls in priority settings and ensure findings are shared to build the evidence base.
