We’re on a mission to deliver Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) in a way that provides our community with high standards at each facility. The Council is evolving its approach to risk and is committed to engaging with the community to incorporate risk management into everyday activities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a newly established position of Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our Three Waters Operations team on a permanent full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE | KO TE MAHI NEI
You will play an integral role in our team, utilising your experience to help the team set a consistently high level of health, safety and wellbeing best practice across all sites and activities of the unit. Supporting our team of nearly 50 staff, you’ll be required to drive continuous improvement and implement positive change across our network of facilities, whilst being part of an exciting period of regulatory change within the unit.
You will also provide support to operations with the extensive capital delivery programme, which is aiming to delivery $2.75 billion over the next 10 years for drinking water, stormwater, flood protection and wastewater treatment assets.
SOME OF YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Positively promote and effectively facilitate HSW across all functions of the unit.
- Build and foster relationships with leaders, staff and key stakeholders to enable meaningful collaboration.
- Continuously educate, coach and mentor managers and employees in systems and processes that promote HSW, therefore advancing our health, safety, and wellness culture.
- Identify, make recommendations and implement improvements.
- Undertake collaborative audits, investigations and reviews. Develop systems and strategies with our operational teams to advise on risk and best practice HSW.
