We’re looking for a Heavy Lift & Transport Engineer to work as part of Fluor Heavy Lift & Transport Group supporting projects throughout EAME region (Europe, Africa & Middle East).
In this role you’re responsible for engineering and constructability input throughout project development and execution to mitigate risks and help projects meet deadlines, budgets and objectives.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Create and develop heavy lift & transport schemes,
- Participate in the development of Project execution strategies, engineering design and constructability reviews,
- Work with Engineering disciplines to ensure designs are in accordance with constructability requirements,
- Work with Logistics and Procurement groups to help develop technical details of equipment delivery and specifications,
- Management and coordination of Heavy Lift & Transport Contractor activities and deliverables throughout Engineering and Construction Execution phases.
- Produce and review technical documentation to help projects meet objectives.
- Provide support to site operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and adherence to procedures relating to Heavy Lift & Transport operations.
- Development of companies Heavy Lift & Transport systems and tools to help ensure quality standards are met across all projects in the region.
- Reporting project progress as required.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Civil / Structural or Mechanical Engineering degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualification,
- Minimum 10 yr experience required with planning and execution of heavy lift and transport operations.
- Technical knowledge of engineering principles applicable for the safe planning of lifting and transport operations,
- Practical knowledge of the equipment utilised during lifting and transport operations,
- Industry knowledge of heavy lift and transport contractors’ equipment and capabilities,
- Competency with operating CAD Packages (AutoCAD, Microstation).
- Able to read and understand engineered drawings and documentation.
- Able to produce technical reports and contribute to project meetings, reviews with clear and concise verbal and written skills.
