Description:
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO START 14TH JULY 2025.
This role will involve a 6 month rotation through the in patient trauma service and a 6 month rotation in the Emergency department in CUH.
As a team member of the trauma service the SHO will be involved in a dynamic team, contributing to expediting the care of the traumatically injured patient and will work closely with the broad spectrum of trauma facing specialities. With direct Consultant supervision on ward rounds there are also research opportunities available.
The Emergency Department at CUH is recognised as the busiest in the country and medical staff are exposed to a broad spectrum of pathology. There are opportunities to develop upon practical skillsets, engage with Ultrasound and research. Dedicated teaching time is complimented by mentorship and exam preparation for those seeking to sit primary MRCEM and Fellowship examinations.
