David Ross Education Trust is recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join our Central Team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards this) or equivalent level of experience
- Previous experience of working in an HR environment
- Successful delivery of HR advice and support to senior managers
- Ability to challenge and influence senior managers, Principals and colleagues as appropriate
- Risk management and assessment in delivery of advice/support and addressing staffing issues
- Commitment to the performance management culture with the ability to set high standards, deliver objectives and challenge, influence and negotiate with managers and staff appropriately
- Desire to contribute to the development of recruitment and selection processes and innovation towards retention of staff
- Basic knowledge of employment legislation and professional development
- Understanding of the change management processes
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment dealing with numerous work tasks/areas simultaneously
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances whilst maintaining a clear view of priorities
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to enable work deployment across all areas including academies
- Data analysis and interpretation, experience with Excel
- Coaching / mentoring
- IT skills
- Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to listen, influence, persuade and negotiate effectively with people at all levels

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
To act as the main contact for all routine HR queries for an allocated cluster of academies in East/North East Lincolnshire (with the possibility of East Yorkshire, depending on candidate’s home location). The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high quality, commercial HR Advisory Service.
The role is based at one of the cluster Academies and entails working and attending meetings at our academies throughout the area. You will also attend our Head Office in Loughborough (usually one day per week). Dependant on operational needs within the Academies/Head Office, some home working may be available.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year – permanent role.
