The People Team is responsible for the development and implementation of the People Strategy providing the organisation with structure and the ability to meet its objectives through the effective management of its people. As a Senior HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on employee relations, talent management, analytics and performance management. You will lead and manage the HR Information System (Dynamics), reporting HR analytics and trends. Strong collaboration with different departments will be vital to understanding and addressing the unique HR needs of each team. You will also support the Head of People in delivering projects as part of the HR team plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a business partnering approach, advising managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, wellbeing, performance management, pay and reward and employee engagement
  • Develop a good understanding of business operations and foster strong relationships with stakeholders to effectively deliver solutions that enhance business performance
  • Provide expert and proactive HR support to heads of service, line managers and colleagues ensuring a positive experience at every stage of employment
  • Provide guidance to colleagues in managing and resolving employee relations issues early on and seek team support for more complex cases
  • Coach managers to conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure all new colleagues have a positive experience from the People Team
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates, working with legal partners as required and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance or training to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Produce, analyse and effectively report HR data, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement
  • Provide expert HR guidance and project management support on complex casework, restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Collaborate with suppliers to modify and optimise HR systems, improving administrative efficiency and self-service.
  • Manage systems supplier contracts on a regular basis to ensure service provided is as set out in the contract
  • Ensure new colleagues have training and guidance in using HR systems
  • Develop and update HR policies to align with current legislation and staying informed about modern procedures and best practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience
  • Owning, consulting and delivering on a variety of HR projects and initiatives as part of the team plan.
  • Support the HR Administrator with monthly payroll actions as required
