Brighter Foods is an award-winning food manufacturer based in Tywyn, a small town situated between the stunning Snowdonia Mountain range and the beautiful beaches of mid-Wales. For this role, you will need to be happy working independently to support Managers across our full site.
The People Business Partner will report to the People Director and support them in key areas including employee relations cases, data analysis and project work plus support the wider group with HR-related activities. Providing advice and guidance to staff and managers and working with them to ensure they follow processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR generalist background within FMCG and/or manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Level 5 CIPD Qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling employee relations cases across different business areas
  • Proficiency in advising Senior Managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Sound knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and data-analysis skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt to change
  • Ideally, experience working as HR Generalist in a blue-collar environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strong partnerships with the Site Leadership Team to ensure the successful delivery of People objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach, providing expert guidance on all HR matters to managers across the site
  • Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure consistency in strategic targets and practices
  • Work closely with support teams, such as Payroll, T&A, Shared Services, and People Data, to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks
  • Oversee employee relations activities, including handling complex ER issues and managing cases related to sickness, flexible working, performance management, grievance, disciplinary processes, welfare, occupational health, risk assessments, amended duties, capability, and parental leave
  • Support People Lead strategic responsibilities, such as organizational change, succession planning, performance ratings, promotions, bonus process management, operational management system, and activities during peak periods
  • Collaborate with on-site management to establish appropriate performance metrics, hold teams accountable for deliverables, and coordinate performance management for colleagues and managers
  • Drive engagement and foster a positive culture through the creation and delivery of engagement activities aligned with the overall strategy, participation in communication forums, and support in action plan development
  • Develop managers and colleagues in coaching skills and HR processes, deliver HR module training to the internal management team, support diversity and inclusion initiatives, and champion the development of people management skills across the site
  • Conduct data analysis, contribute to KPI pack process, provide people analytics on HR metrics to derive insights and operational opportunities, and collaborate with the HR Team to standardize reporting and communications across UK Operations
