Job Description:
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a Senior HR Business Partner - Europe at our GCE subsidiary for a 2-year fixed-term maternity cover. The GCE Group is Europe’s leading company in gas control, involved in the development and manufacturing of all types of equipment for pressure and flow control of high-pressure gases. Originally focused on the oxy-acetylene cutting and welding market, GCE has expanded its product range to include high purity and medical gas equipment, with nearly 100 years of experience.
The Senior HR Business Partner will collaborate with the GCE European leadership team on all strategic, organizational, and people-related matters that impact their group. This role involves working across HR and other cross-functional teams to provide HR solutions that enable targeted business outcomes, drive organizational success, and ensure effective HR data analysis and structural improvements.

What You’ll be doing

  • Support the regional leadership with business strategy from a people perspective; provide input and execute HR priorities.
  • Consult, advise, coach, and influence regional leadership.
  • Provide guidance on employee engagement, communication, and relations to leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Manage organizational effectiveness by aligning people, processes, structure, and culture with business strategies in collaboration with local HR organizations.
  • Implement and manage regional HR solutions, programs, and services, including leadership/talent management and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, rewards, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
  • Analyze HR data, metrics, and trends to identify opportunities, guiding leadership and teams to develop effective solutions and practices.
  • Develop HR analytics and reporting structures to ensure data-driven decisions that improve people-related outcomes and organizational efficiency.
  • Provide performance, development, and compensation guidance to managers.
  • Ensure compliance with regional legal requirements and employment practices, minimizing legal risks.

What We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with recent experience in a regional business partner or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in organizational development/effectiveness and talent management/development.
  • Proficiency in HR data analysis, metrics interpretation, and the development of reporting structures.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills in English and Hungarian.
  • Strong consultative and coaching skills.
  • Ability to build strong, ongoing, impactful relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how HR strategy integrates with business goals.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing change.
  • Complex problem-solving and decision-making skills.
