Description:
JOB SUMMARY
As NetApp continues to grow and thrive, the need for a strategic and forward-looking HRBP is paramount. The HRBP will hold the primary strategic and tactical relationships for client business groups and diverse HR COEs to create a high performing environment.
The HRBP, will primarily support NetApp’s GTM business units for Germany, and representing HR. Reporting to Senior Director HR Business Partner, this role is at Senior HRBP level.
This individual will be a key member of the German HR team and will collaborate with the wider HR community to define and execute the HR strategies in alignment with the business objectives.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with robust HR subject matter expertise, is business savvy, and a compelling influencer, consultant, coach and trusted advisor. Experience in delivering organizational change is also highly desired.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Assisting in identifying and analyzing the HR needs of a designated business unit.
- Providing tactical human resources support to the line managers of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
- Consulting with business unit management during the strategic planning process and on the development of human resources strategies that support the unit’s business needs.
- Driving human resources initiatives within the organization and acting as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic business partner across your client group focused on a broad-based and transformational agenda designed to attract, develop and retain the very best innovative talent while fostering a high performing culture
- Hold the primary strategic and tactical relationships like organizational design, succession plan, talent management for your respective client groups providing guidance and coaching on key business strategies and initiatives
- In alignment with the company objectives partner with COEs to develop relevant HR people strategies & programs and lead on driving execution and adoption
- Build strong and trusted working relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, peers at all levels and influence for the good of the company
- Regularly assess client groups and promote best practices in talent management
- Leverage data insights to present complex matters, clearly and concisely to enable leaders to implement people solutions in alignment with company strategy
- Coach, counsel and act as trusted advisor to your leadership team
- Interpret HR analytics and share these insights with senior leaders to enhance their understanding of people issues
- Partner with the wider HR teams and COEs to implement best practices and contribute towards driving a unified and consistent employee experience
- Champion and drive for leadership ownership on best-in-class standards for the NetApp employer brand
- Promote equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging as part of the culture where equality thrives in both opportunities and outcomes
- Be apprised of local business environment, labour markets, legal and regulatory changes in relation to employment practices, and business trends to identify and recommend relevant changes on HR policies and practices
- Support Legal and Employee Relations partners in the execution of their goals in respect to the company objectives
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of German employment legislation and workers council requirements
- Fluent in German & English
EDUCATION
- 8+ years in Human Resources as an HRBP or generalist, in a multinational organization in technology industry is preferred
- Has driven or been part of a team that has implemented complex business transformation
- Has developed and delivered strategic HR initiatives and processes
- Understands “big picture” business objectives and can effectively apply a pragmatic and flexible approach and translate these to HR interventions that deliver local business results
- Understands business management processes at a high level, is analytical and data driven, with a high level of business acumen
- Successful experience in advising, coaching and influencing leaders
- Has proactively contributed to a growing business and maintain a positive reputation for working effectively across levels of an organization
- Ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach driving a high performing team culture
- Ability to build trust, respect and confidence of leadership and employees projecting as a fair, firm leader
- A strong command of written oral communication together with excellent presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build team capability and HR competency
