Based at Harbourgate, Portsmouth, this position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, providing strategic guidance to leaders, and driving organizational performance. The role is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on human resources operations to include the full life cycle of talent, employee relations, employee communications and broader workforce retention, development, engagement, and serves as a trusted partner to business leaders.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Act as a strategic partner to the business, aligning people practices and strategies with the overall business objectives. This involves understanding the business needs and challenges and providing HR solutions that contribute to the achievement of those goals. This includes leading HR activities at the Harbourgate site as well as partnering with specific business unit leaders globally.
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance to Leadership both in the UK and internationally in the areas of talent acquisition, leadership coaching, employee counselling, performance management, career development, change management, DE+I, compensation, and HR policy guidance and interpretation in line with legal compliance and regulations.
- Proactively partner and collaborate across the global HR organization, sharing information, and providing thought leadership and a solution-oriented direction to optimize the business value of the HR function.
- Partner with HR Centres Of Excellence (COE) on the execution of HR initiatives.
- In collaboration with the Talent Management COE, drive solutions in the areas of talent management, succession planning, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field with 5 years working in a business partner capacity.
- Superior interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and engage at all levels of the organization.
- High learning agility with the propensity to continually grow from experiences, adapt to new situations and adopt different mindsets, make connections, and identify/implement successful solutions.
- Strong analytical skills; mental agility; sound decision-making abilities (fact based where possible) coupled with sound judgment.
- Business savvy with a consultative approach and superior ability in partnering with the business to provide feedback, coaching, advice and support.
