Your new team
This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.
The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered. In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.
As a Senior HR People Partner, you will be a key player in aligning our strategic HR and business objectives with leadership teams across the business. The role will be critical in driving HR initiatives that align with our business goals, enhance employee experience & engagement, and support or growth & sustainability objectives. This role requires your close working partnership with the HR Centres of Excellence (CoE) to deliver cohesive, industry leading and high impact HR services and support to the business.
Your unique contribution
You will have 7 main areas of responsibility:

Strategic HR Planning & Leadership:

  • Develop, shape and implement HR Strategies that align with the multiple business and function goals.
  • Partner with Leadership teams to develop, influence and drive our HR People Strategy.
  • Use appropriate insights to contribute to the development of the HR Operations People Plan.
  • Provide expert advice & guidance on key HR policy, processes & best practices.
  • Lead initiative to promote a positive & inclusive workplace culture.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify key people risks & implement effective mitigation strategies.

Talent Management:

  • Collaborate with HR CoE’s on our talent attraction, development and retention strategies.
  • Implement and manage effective and robust succession plans ensuring a strong leadership pipeline to future proof our business.
  • Optimise people capability in respective business areas, ensuring right people are in the right place at the right time.

Organisational Development & Design:

  • Lead initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness and increase employee engagement.
  • Conduct organisational assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive change management efforts to support business transformation and growth.
  • Design and implement organisational structures that align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and address organisational design challenges.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimise workforce planning and resource allocation.
  • Drive local and global transformation projects and initiatives in line with priorities and business strategy.

Performance Management:

  • Manage and grow our performance management systems and processes, utilising tools, and frameworks.
  • Align our performance metrics with affiliate and function objectives.

Financial and Data Analytics:

  • Utilise HR data and analytics to inform critical strategic decisions.
  • Determine and manage headcount forecasting and budgets aligned to business plans and strategy.

  • Build, promote and manage diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Proactively build knowledge and understanding of the global D&I strategy, enablers and priorities.

Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work closely with the Heads of CoE, functional business partnering teams, other Global Senior HR People Partners, and the broader HR function.
Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Are a HR generalist with considerable business partnering experience, including the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Proven experience in driving cultural and organisational change.
  • Experience in leading and delivering complex HR projects, including in the area of Organisational Design & Development.
  • Proven ability to build strong, impactful and influential relationships.
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment is desirable but not essential.
