We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia to make a difference as our Senior HR Business Partner in the People Team.
In this role, you will partnering with the Divisional Heads to translate business strategy into a people strategy to increase business performance. Ensure the division has access to the critical organizational capabilities required to deliver the strategy. Ensuring senior teams are highly engaged, diverse and high-performing.
Role and Responsibilities

Strategic HR

  • Actively develop the People Plan for Divisional client groups in partnership with leaders
  • Identify and close capability and competency gaps, culture enhancement, workforce planning, etc. in close partnership with CoEs
  • Maintain succession plans of key post and critical roles in divisional client groups
  • Adhere to employee relations agenda, policies and legislation to ensure business reputation and resilience is maintained

Partner with the Divisional Head

  • Be an active participant in Divisional Leadership Team
  • Collaborate to design efficient organizational structures enabling the business strategy
  • Act as sparring partner and courageous coach to leaders helping them to develop
  • Support with building high performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the organization, on promoting a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement needs within their teams.
  • Support senior leaders through strategic parts of annual HR cycle. Partner with COE’s to execute against the annual HR cycle
  • Provide guidance on employee retention & recognition options, e.g., development opportunities, employee recognition etc.
  • Facilitate training / learning / development interventions and team sessions on diverse HR topics
  • Work with hiring manager on creating a comprehensive onboarding plan for new joiners in leadership roles, with key focus on driving aspects related to the people strategy, culture and leadership

Drive the People agenda

  • Be the functional mouthpiece for the broad people strategy and help deliver these commitments within divisional teams
  • Work with people team and COE’s to delivery consistent and repeatable experiences aligned to the People Strategy
  • Foster a culture where the Leadership expectations and Samsung values are embedded and on which business decisions are made
  • Proactively drive a culture of collaboration and sharing across the People function ensuring alignment, consistency and repeatability

Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a HR Business partnering position within a global matrix organisation
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing change initiatives while delivering People projects
  • Excellence in influencing senior stakeholders, conceptualizing and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor
  • Resilience and maturity in dealing with change/uncertainty and delivering results in challenging environments
  • Strong business acumen and able to navigate complexity within a commercial setting
