  • Job Title: HR Senior Generalist
  • Reports To: VP HR International
  • Duration: Fixed term contract 1 year – Maternity cover
  • Business unit: Human Resources
  • Location: Cork. There will be a requirement to come to Arlo office once per week. (this will be discussed more at interview stage)

JOB SUMMARY

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional to further their career in a hands-on Senior HR Generalist role in a fast paced technology environment.

WHAT EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATION DO YOU HAVE?

  • Minimum of 4 years human resources experience in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University / College is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel expertise required.
  • Strong experience in working with ERP systems (Workday / Oracle HCM / Tableau).
  • Prior experience of working in a global multinational SOX-controlled environment is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Transactional and Operational Tasks: Ensure the accurate completion of all transactional and operational tasks while gaining exposure to various HR disciplines. You will have hands-on responsibility for employees across the EMEA and APAC regions from the very outset.
  • Recruitment Process Management: Participate actively in the full spectrum of the Arlo recruitment process, including guiding managers in developing job descriptions, source candidates using a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals, screening and interviewing candidates, assessing candidates’ skills and cultural fit, compensation and benefits guidance, salary benchmarking, job requisition offers and approvals, issuing accurate and legally compliant employment contracts etc.
  • New Hire Process: Manage the new hire process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed before the start date. Assist with the induction and onboarding process, and support managers in completing probation periods.
  • Employee Documentation: Issue contracts and starting documentation to new employees in compliance with local labor laws and company standards. Coordinate with pension providers, health insurers, and brokers. Process purchase orders and invoices for prompt payment for EMEA and APAC HR & Facilities.
  • Terminations: Oversee the off-boarding process, including conducting exit interviews and updating systems as necessary.
  • Employee Global Relocation and International Transfers: Assist employees relocating to Ireland and other APAC countries, including obtaining visas and employment permits. Ensure compliance with Irish immigration laws and regulations related to international relocations.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Work with the payroll function to ensure accurate payroll administration. Update and record payroll queries and manage benefits administration, including pensions, healthcare, and life insurance.
  • Employee Relations: Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues and performance-related queries.
  • HR Information Systems: Develop and manage efficient HR information systems to provide essential Human Resource Management data.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Collaborate with the HR management team on various projects, including goal setting, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee wellbeing, diversity equity and inclusion, CSR initiatives, and building company culture.
  • Health and Safety Programs: Lead the development and administration of health and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Site Management: Manage the Facilities Specialist and Receptionist to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
  • Intern Program Management: Oversee the global intern program, including recruitment, communication with management, conversion opportunities, and building the intern community. Liaise with universities and career services to secure placements.
  • Event Management: Collaborate with HR team members globally to manage events and initiatives celebrating company-wide observances such as PRIDE month, Environmental Awareness, Thanksgiving, Diwali, Christmas, etc.
  • Training and Development: Assist the L&D Director in rolling out training plans and programs as needed.
  • Communication Management: Maintain and promote a positive and open style of communication across the region.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to create high-quality global reports and dashboard summaries related to human capital metrics such as headcount, performance management, turnover, and compensation. Proficiency in PowerPoint is essential for transferring these reports into presentations.
  • SOX Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in additional projects throughout the year as required.
