Description:

We are in search of a Senior HR Generalist to join our team located in South San Francisco, California. This role entails a myriad of responsibilities within the HR function, including overseeing US benefit plans, administering the US leaves of absence program, managing onboarding tasks, and maintaining employee lifecycle changes in HRIS. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage US benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, fertility, 401k.
  • Administer the US leaves of absence program in collaboration with third-party administrators and payroll.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for US onboarding including outreach, travel, logistics, presentations, and employment verification.
  • Serve as a resource for new hires and provide support when necessary.
  • Manage employee lifecycle changes in HRIS, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Oversee workers’ compensation claims, reviewing documentation and seeking legal counsel when needed.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality service.
  • Utilize HRIS - ADP and Greenhouse, JIRA systems effectively (not a hard requirement).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a HR Generalist or similar role
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of Compliance regulations and laws
  • Proven track record in Employee Relations
  • Familiarity with FMLA and related employee leave policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • detail oriented certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
