REQUIREMENTS

  • Generalist HR experience supporting leaders in a fast-paced, high growth, dynamic business environment; tech industry experience highly desired
  • Possesses up to date knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practice and latest trends in employment
  • Human Resource Management Diploma or Bachelor level qualification preferred
  • Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking and payroll systems (BambooHR, ADP, and Workable are a plus)
  • Detail focused with excellent organisational skills
  • Approachable and professional with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Can maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Has excellent communication, written and numerical skills

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This is an exciting, position supporting both the Digistorm team and partnering with local leaders and people managers in Australia as well as and being the main HR point of contact on the ground for the team.
The role forms part of the Veracross Global HR team and will report to the HR Business Partner for International so will have the support, guidance and development opportunities of a global HR team. The role will also have a local executive champion ensuring on-the-ground access to resources and management support.
This is a great opportunity for someone with generalist HR experience across the entire employee lifecycle and would be ideal for someone who is looking to further their experience as a local HR expert whilst benefiting from and experiencing being part of larger growing global organisation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • As Digistorm continues to grow, it will be important to review and improve the way work is carried out. This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a number of projects focused on this, including performance development, organisational design, HRIS management and policy development to name a few.
  • You will play an important role in supporting managers and members of the Digistorm Team in day-to-day people related activities such as performance, learning and development and coaching as well as more general administrative activities including contracts, payroll and benefits administration.
  • This position offers the opportunity to develop your people experience in a supportive and exciting environment as well as development towards a business partnering role in the longer term.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being the main point of contact for employee and manager queries and escalating these to the Senior HRBP when necessary
  • Supporting our efforts to think global, but act local, by helping us grow and maintain Digitsorm’s unique local team culture
  • Helping to position Digistorm as a preferred employer in the EdTech space
  • Supporting the Recruitment Manager and Hiring Managers with hiring activity
  • Being the local expert on HR best practice
  • Keeping employee data accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all records in compliance with internal policies
  • Supporting the implementation of local HR policies and procedures
  • Helping with the administration of payroll and benefits
  • Assisting with global HR reporting
