QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MCIPD or equivalent professional knowledge and experience and evidence of application of knowledge & skills to demonstrate that you are an expert by nature and always developing your expertise.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience of partnering senior leaders to deliver talent management initiatives
  • Experience of strategic workforce planning in a complex organisation
  • Demonstrable HR expertise in a technical/specialist business within a corporate/ public sector context.
  • Evidence of a sound understanding of HR principles and legal considerations whilst proactively driving and delivering pragmatic people solutions that add value to the bottom line and keep evolving our work.
  • Able to lead and develop strategy and to analyse complex information and demonstrate sound risk analysis and decision making.
  • Strong cross functional team working skills with demonstrable evidence of building productive working relationships with colleagues across the organisation and operating collaboratively
  • Knowledge and Information Management especially around data protection/GDPR/responsible for information
  • Knowledge and understanding of Diversity and inclusion

The Senior HR Business Partner has a critical role in identifying, developing and delivering people interventions in line with business objectives. They work closely with senior leaders to foster and nurture strategic people enablers such as talent, strategic workforce planning and capability, as well as develop people solutions, to achieve the organisation’s objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and delivering HR programmes and leading successful implementation to ensure the business has the culture, capacity and agility to meet current and future challenges.
  • Coach, mentor and guide senior managers to build capability, resilience and performance in people/talent management to enable delivery of business results.
  • Applying knowledge of business requirements, analytics, current trends and HR best practice to proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities to shape strategy and improve performance.
  • Managing the relationship between the People Directorate and the business working together with directorate colleagues to source and deliver business focused solutions and share business insights.
  • Building effective stakeholder relationships within the business, wider HR, and external stakeholders such as Trade Unions.
