Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
The Senior HR Professional will provide a high level of technical and generalist HR support and accurate, timely HR advice to all areas of the business to ensure a highly capable, compliant, and thriving workforce across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager and playing a key role in a rapidly growing ASX listed company, the Senior HR Professional will ensure effective interpretation and application of relevant Australia and New Zealand Employment legislation, collect, analyse and report on data and metrics relating to the business workforce, provide support in managing employee relations and support the wider People & Culture team projects and initiatives.
The Senior HR Professional will be expected to take on a variety of different tasks and projects within the People & Culture Team and other areas of the business as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide timely and “hands on” support to staff and leaders on all HR/IR related matters such as employee/industrial relations, performance management, application and interpretation of policies/practices/legislation, recruitment and staffing, remuneration, learning and development, and employee exits.
- Prioritise currency with Australia and New Zealand employment legislation and potential changes to the employment landscape ensuring we are well-prepared and compliant as a business.
- Assist with handling workplace incidents, grievances, complaints, industrial relations and Workers Compensation/ACC claims.
- Support the People & Culture Team in areas including maintenance of developed systems, policies and procedures documentation and implementation, recruitment and selection support, company induction/onboarding, performance feedback, coordinating and managing training and professional development activities and assist with ad hoc administration
- Coordinate training, including assisting with the formulation of training plans, monitoring of training needs, and ensuring the delivery of internal training via our online learning platform.
- Work with leaders to provide opportunities for continuous improvement ensuring our people have the skills and capabilities required for sustained business success.
