One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for an experienced solutions-focused individual to join as a Senior HR Systems Specialist focusing on HR analytics and projects.
Working as part of the HR Systems team, you will be collaborating with key stakeholders internally and externally to drive solutions development and the digital agenda with a focus on data and process re-engineering to transform processes and develop and enhance The Salvation Army’s HR and Payroll system and affiliate systems and applications available in the mission.
This role will ensure that the HR systems meet our business and missional requirements and you will be involved in implementing new systems and processes and provide analytics to monitoring effectiveness therefore aptitude in the following tools would be advantageous:
- Business intelligence: i.e. SAP Business Intelligence, PowerBI, Crystal Report, Cognos, Tableau, MS Reporting Services
- Cloud based systems: i.e. iTrent; HCM: Cascade, SelectHR, CoreHR, Workday, Peoplesoft
- Data management: i.e. SQL, VBA, Data automation, Data modelling, Google Suite, MI Dashboards
- MS applications: Excel, Power Pivot, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project
As a senior business application specialist to our HRIS function, you will be a technical solutions and information systems and data expert with a sound understanding of relevant HR, Payroll and Pensions processes and legislation, significant experience in PowerBI development with DAX and Mcode and HCM indepth application knowledge. You will have line management responsibility and tasked with the delivery of a portfolio of system related projects. It would be advantageous if you had any of the following: Certified Agile Practitioner, BCS Business Analyst, SixSigma, PRINCE2 and familiarisation with business analysis techniques including stakeholder analysis, business process modelling, investigation techniques and managing business systems change. You will be crucial to maximising the efficiencies of the available systems there by supporting the strategic aims of the HR Department and wider mission of The Salvation Army.
