TMX Group is currently seeking a Senior HR Technology & Workforce Analyst to join our HR Technology and Workforce Analytics team as we continue on our journey to digitally transform the HR function. Reporting to the Manager, HR Technology, this position will be responsible for the management and functional support of our digital HR tools and will play a critical role in the implementation of our People Analytics strategy to produce insights from workforce data to enable data-driven decisions.
Key Accountabilities

HR Technology:

  • Provide global Tier 1 & 2 functional support to troubleshoot issues and correct errors with cross functional impacts across our digital HR platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, Google, Quantum, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Manage functional configuration for HCM, On-Boarding, Absence and Time Tracking modules and provide related support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the implementation of prioritized adoption items and business process enhancement by partnering with HR Functional Leads to support automation, improve efficiency of HR processes and optimize our digital HR tools
  • Manage all Workday testing for HR projects including the development of test plans, schedules and execution of test scripts
  • Collaborate with IT support teams for escalated business process, security and access issues
  • Lead the semi-annual Workday Release Management process including; planning, providing recommendations and managing deliverables of functional leads to test critical processes and complete regression tests
  • Develop and maintain internal HRIS standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation from HRIS projects including proof of concept, configuration trackers and defect templates
  • Lead Workday implementations by partnering with Functional Leads and IT teams to support the global integration of our digital HR tools
  • Conduct routine system updates and audits to maintain business process and data accuracy

Workforce Analytics:

  • Deliver standard and ad hoc report requests by preparing, auditing and delivering data and related insights to internal and external stakeholders in a consumable format as per requirements
  • Build, maintain and audit custom reports using Workday Report Writer as required while ensuring a high level of data integrity
  • Maintain dashboards, scorecards and data visualizations to present meaningful insights
  • Set up and maintain automated reports including audiences, run schedules
  • Lead data conversion exercises including extracting, mapping and preparing worker data to validate and load into Workday using EIB
  • Leverage analytics to define and measure the success of our digital HR tools and proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities

Must haves:

  • 4+ years’ experience configuring or implementing a cloud-based HRIS system (Workday preferred)
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems Management or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Suite products
  • Advanced Excel skills including functions such as pivot tables, formulas and lookups to compile, manipulate and analyze large data sets
  • Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information with a high level of attention detail to ensure privacy and integrity of information
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks within tight deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills through a proactive consultative approach to deliver timely solutions that meet business requirements with a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Workday Report Writer and calculated fields is an asset
