Join Grant Thornton’s National People and Culture Workday team within the People & Culture Services Department. To be successful in this role, this team member will have proven experience in the following areas in a complex, high-volume environment; preferably in the professional services industry:

  • HRIS Configuration and Implementation: Configure, implement and enhance system modules as a Workday SME, including ongoing improvements, to align with organizational and People & Culture operational objectives.
  • Collaboration and Process Enhancement: Work directly with the People Services Team, collaborate with the broader People and Culture community, and engage with Finance/IT team members for employee transactional process reviews and enhancements within Workday.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify and deliver enhancements to the everyday experience of all colleagues using Workday.
  • Expertise and Contribution: As a Senior HRIS Analyst, your expertise in Workday configuration and analytics will be invaluable. Your enthusiasm, client-focused service, and ability to critically review and improve existing systems and processes contribute to a seamless self-serve colleague experience.

Responsibilities:

AS A SENIOR HRIS ANALYST YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Act as a key member in the building of foundational architecture in Workday, including department and location structures, job catalog, absence plans and end-to-end colleague lifecycle processes
  • Conduct fulsome downstream impact analyses across all modules on changes being introduced to Workday – such as impacts to business processes, reports and calculated fields, security, etc. - and translate this into a task tracker
  • Configure Workday business processes (including notifications, conditional rules, related documents, etc.) and identify opportunities for enhancement and simplification aligned with Workday’s methodology
  • Configure Workday absence plans (including eligibility rules, accruals, adjustments, carryover limits, etc.) and identify opportunities for enhancement and simplification aligned with Workday’s methodology
  • Maintain Workday security – including the evaluation of new and existing security group/role requests, configuring/testing/implementing and maintaining a governance process
  • Support system upgrades, new HRIS releases, testing, validation, and overall performance analysis
  • Create training and process documentation after implementing changes in HRIS procedures
  • Ensure data integrity within Workday and downstream systems through audit processes and analyses
  • Monitor the HRIS mailbox, promptly respond to internal and external customers, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Identify opportunities for greater automation while keeping in mind a great service to our employees and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with functional leads and stakeholders (e.g., People & Culture, Payroll, Technology, Finance) on Workday development and enhancement projects, translating business requirements into technical requirements and implementing scalable solutions best for Grant Thornton today and tomorrow
