REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Technical qualifications (specific to industry).
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques.
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook (intermediate).
  • 6+ years in a similar role e.g. Senior HSE Advisor or HSE Consultant.
  • A background in oil & gas, petro-chemical or similar industry with transferrable skills.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued growth of the business, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at our Lytton office (25min from Brisbane CBD). The primary purpose of the role is to develop the HSE team across all areas of the contract.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Provide HSE leadership to site – drive emphasis of leading indicators and behavioural based safety.
  • Participate in the site business strategy development enabling capture and integration of opportunities that fall into the role’s scope of accountabilities.
  • Manage the development and implementation of CR JSEA’s for work activities
  • Manage the development and implementation of pre-start meetings and Toolbox Talks
  • Conduct incident investigations in line with CR investigation policy and support Client lead investigations where required.
  • Actively support the Client, Site Coordinators and Supervisors with all HSE matters.
  • Participate in HSE management pre-planning and attendance on site.
  • Report on safety initiatives and incidents – participate in weekly zero harm report and participate in weekly review.
  • Conduct / participate in site audits and inspections of work activities to ensure HSE compliance. Where required, participate in audits and inspections conducted by other parties
  • Assist in development and activation of site emergency response plans.
  • Maintain strong client relationships with the HSE community.
  • Review and develop procedures and standard operating instructions as required.
