    A rewarding opportunity for a high calibre Senior Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) Advisor has come about to join our amazing and supportive team in Auckland.
    Based in East Tamaki - Auckland, this is a pivotal role for a confident communicator who will foster strong relationships, engage and educate staff in Northpower across our corporate and contracting business, including contractors. You will establish trusting relations with customers, clients, managers, influencing our senior management with required recommendation on safe practices.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the HSQE Manager, you will be spending a mix of your time in office and mainly in the field of Auckland region , undertaking advisory and investigation work. Some of the responsibilities include but not limited to are:

  • Manage the updating of reporting systems, advisory/assessment work, investigating incidents, monitoring, analysing, and reporting on our subcontractors HSQE performance with the view of reducing risk and embedding corrective actions
  • Facilitate and coach people from various backgrounds on HSQE best practices
  • Ensure safe practices are maintained through Northpower Auckland’s operational activities with emphasis on good practice, procedures and operator competencies and providing assurance on best practice being followed
  • Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement where improvements are proactively identified, developed, implemented and realised
  • Support the HSQE Manager in all HSQE and Wellbeing matters for the region
  • Manage all subcontractors used to ensure (as a minimum) full compliance with our HSQE requirements
  • Lead and facilitate incident reporting, improve the quality investigation, and assurance activities
  • Foster a culture where employees are engaged and feel empowered to make decisions that ensure they keep themselves, their colleagues, contractors, the public and the environment free from harm
