THE OPPORTUNITY

We are a seeking an experienced Senior Human Factors Engineer to join the BCS team. BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.

• Analyse system designs to identify human factors engineering needs.
• Develop and Manage Human Engineering Program Plans and reports.
• Apply human factors principles and methods to design and evaluate user interfaces, products, and systems.
• Conduct human factors analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards in systems and processes.
• Conduct usability testing and analysis to identify potential issues and make recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate system compliance with human factors requirements and standards.
• Develop written reports and presentations on human factors engineering activities.
