Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a bilingual Senior Immigration Consultant to join our HR team! As a senior Immigration Consultant, you will provide advice, support and recommendations as it relates to foreign worker hiring processes. This role will also support HR and our business leaders in navigating employee scenarios and will work appropriately with internal and external stakeholders as required. You will work with a dynamic team that is always ready for the next challenge.

What you’ll do here:

  • Answer and handle immigration inquiries and processes received by employees, the HR community and external partners according to the best immigration practices in place by email and case management request
  • Liaise with immigration vendors to always ensure foreign worker compliance
  • Provide advice to the HR community and business unit leaders on all elements related to foreign workers
  • Advise the HR community of changes related to immigration laws and regulations
  • Monitor and audit the diverse administrative tasks related to the employee’s immigration status, such as work permit applications, permanent residency forms, renewal opportunities and permit restriction’s compliance
  • Lead the review of policies and business processes and recommend the implementation of best practices in compliance with immigration legislations and regulations to streamline processes and ensure consistency of service provided
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency and reinforce compliance by implementing tools, procedures and processes
