A Senior Immigration Consultant is expected to have an excellent attitude, excellent communication skills, and experience with Dutch immigration and a willingness to learn global immigration.
The Newland Chase dedicated consultant(s) are responsible for collaborating and partnering with the client’s Immigration Regional Managers, Recruiters and Talent Mobility as well as the Newland Chase’s Managing Directors, Dedicated Senior Manager for Immigration Services, Immigration Consultants and Regional Managers by coordinating the immigration processes for client’s employees and their dependents in those circumstances in which client has approved Newland Chase’s assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • One to two years of paralegal or international-related experience and/or training
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skilss
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate immigration processes for the client account, including case assessment, initiation, advising on applicable rules and procedures, case preparation and submission, monitoring progress, and follow-up on completion.
  • Identify and advise on key issues that may impact the immigration process such as travel plans, dependents, and medical records.
  • Assist with country-required consular and embassy matters and applications, including authentication and certification of documents and obtaining visas, visa extensions, certificates, work permits, passports, and nationality papers.
  • Prepare documents as required, such as immigration applications, petitions, and support letters.
  • Ensure the client has a clear understanding of requirements and that all applications and documents submitted are accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Work with colleagues and external service providers across the globe to deliver best outcome for the client.
  • Maintain close contact and strong working relationship with client and embassies/agencies, keeping clients well informed of issues or changes to regulations or processes.
  • Understand client needs and demonstrate expertise and initiative in providing solutions in resolving client issues.
  • Assist with business development, identifying and pursuing new business leads.
  • Document information in Newland Chase secure database in accordance with company protocols, ensuring data integrity and compliance with appropriate records retention schedule.
  • Provide data for company metrics and client invoicing.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality, ensuring secure document handling and protection of client data.
  • Complete all work in strict compliance with law, regulations, and company policies, supporting CIBT’s and Newland Chase’s strong ethical culture.
  • Stay current with immigration laws and requirements and industry best practice.
  • Undertake mock audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide ad hoc immigration advice to clients including case assessments, right to work guidance and compliance.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new team members.
  • Prepare data-driven key client and internal presentations.
  • Monitoring and use of and maintaining accuracy of data on the internal Immigo and filing system in line with SOW.
  • Taking responsibility for the provision of compliance support for new and existing accounts, attending and supervising the compliance/audit meetings, review follow up report, training and liaising with key accounts to ensure recommendations are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Providing clients with excellent service (in accordance with company or client specific service levels) responding to emails and telephone enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring that advice is comprehensive and accurate.
  • Undertaking relevant duties relating to the SMS on behalf of the client, including annual allocation requests, additional allocation requests, migrant reporting change of circumstance requests etc.
