Sets up and installs technical systems, applications or process designs for client’s purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions. Works directly with client to manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation and train or coordinate training for client users. Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution. Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements. May work directly with clients on-site or provide installation support remotely.

Reporting to the Manager, Implementation Services; The Senior Implementation Analyst focuses on the design, development, implementation and support of EDI, electronic commerce, and application integration solutions. This includes transactions to be exchanged between Availity, and its business partners. The role is accountable for assessing, analyzing, and implementing solutions in a timely and efficient manner. The Senior Implementation Analyst is responsible for executing and maintaining implementation processes and training internal and external stakeholders of those processes. The Senior Implementation Analyst acts as a mentor to Implementation Analysts on their team to ensure all implementation activities are followed based on Availity standards. This position will be called upon to serve in multiple roles in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial corporate environment.
To be qualified for this position, you:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing moderate to highly complex implementations and delivering results with speed, accountability and trust.
- Have a minimum of 7 years related experience in a technology (information exchange) and/or health care environment.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience.
- Create and execute test plans and resolve defects and possess strong analytical skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships, supporting internal and external partners.
- Effectively manage multiple client issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work with external and internal partners including production support teams and information technology.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills and the ability to present executive summaries in a concise manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
- Work under pressure, maintaining composure and professionalism in an interrupt-driven environment.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and are flexible with the ability to embrace change.
- Are proficient using PC skills and MS Suite products.
- Have extensive knowledge of the health care industry specifically transactional systems, provider office operations, and customer service processes in a healthcare company.
- Build strong relationships and thrive at collaborating with teammates.
- Work independently with minimal guidance with a strong focus on accountability for issue resolution.
- Have a thorough understanding of HIPAA implementation guides for claim and other transactions.
- Know ICD-9/ICD-10 and Possess an in depth knowledge of the ANSI X12N format including 837P, 837I, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, CCR/CCD, HL7 transaction sets a plus.
- Remain current with Health Information Exchange industry tools and technology developments.

What you will be doing:
Implementation Planning:
- This role is responsible for all complexity levels of implementations (including high visibility requests or complex business and technical requirements) such as EDI, B2B, web transactions, and others as defined. Tasks involve managing client timelines and deliverables, issue resolution, file transmission, response reporting, testing, system workflow, business process, and results delivery based on customer requirements using Availity processes and tools.
Implementation Tracking and Execution:
- Manages multiple moderately complex to complex implementation plans, including timelines, issue resolution and results delivery using Availity standard tools and processes.
- Reports status and progress of new business partners as well as adoption and utilization (i.e., use of Availity product) of existing partners in Salesforce.
- Tracks progress of all implementation projects via Availity tools including TeamTrack.
- In partnership with external and internal stakeholders, the Senior Implementation Analyst conducts pre-production functional testing protocols.
- Assesses and analyzes highly complex standard and non-standard implementations, including HIPAA rules and Availity standards and options and follows processes accordingly.
Resource Coordination:
- Interacts with Vendor and Provider Marketing, Business Development, Business Technology Solutions, Product Management, Finance, and Operations.
- Drives triage of low to moderate complexity projects to Implementation Analysts.
- Mentors Implementation Analysts to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis and ensures Availity standards are followed.
- The Senior Implementation Analyst directs work for all aspects of connectivity to Availity solutions.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Interacts with business, technical, internal and external resources on new and existing implementation solutions and partners. The Implementation Analyst will be required to represent the company in a professional manner to external customers with little to no supervision.
- Assists the Channel Sales and Account Management staff in finalizing opportunities by providing technical guidance to external stakeholders.
- Interacts closely with technology staff to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly and on behalf of their customers.
- Ensures market validation (utilization) of solution by driving clean hand off to account management or operational support teams.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Strong knowledge of profitability and loss; supports and communicates implementation decisions that have a positive benefit to the company.
- Evaluates work products of Implementation Analysts and assists where necessary.
- Proactively monitors production systems to ensure production problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Provides executive level reporting, communications and presentation of key connectivity solutions.
- Drives connectivity solutions to revenue generation, ensuring customer awareness, marketing and operational support are in place.
Operations Support
Process Documentation and Improvement:
- Leads in the development of Availity support documentation (such as production problem, impact and solution). Documents all complexity level standard processes as necessary for continuous process improvement (such as streamlining work or improving quality). Stays current with technology trends.
- Innovates process improvement of work flow, endeavors to stay current with technology trends, industry standards, and Availity strategy – specifically driving close to cash process for faster and higher quality connectivity solutions.
Customer Issue Resolution (third level support)
- Provides third-level support for operational issues identified by Client Services (first level support) and Operations Analysts (second level support). Coordinates third level support issues within Availity, involving outside business partners as appropriate.
- Supports organization in researching, resolving and documenting operational issues. Must excel at communicating complex business, technical, and HIPAA issues and resolutions.
- Attends daily State of the Union calls and proactively represents Connectivity Solutions.
