Boeing is looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join its security team in El Segundo, CA.
As a Senior Industrial Security Specialist, you will work with senior and junior staff members to administer and implement US Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations. As an individual contributor, you will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations by performing the following actions:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 or more years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience ( Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in an Industrial Security role; or a Master’s degree and 2+ years in an Industrial Security Role )
  • 5 or more years of industrial security experience in a variety of security support capacities such as, personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and other programmatic security-related field
  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Be proficient in desktop computing and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and be a self-starter
  • Ability to obtain a successful a US government polygraph examination
  • General experience in Project Management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a background investigation date within the last 6 years; In Scope polygraph examination
  • Prior A/CPSO, A/CSSO, or Industrial Security Specialist experience (5+years), Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in Industrial Security-related role or Master’s Degree and at 3+ years of specialized industrial security experience
  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
  • Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM and DoD SAP Manuals
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work schedules to accommodate program operations
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to assert control of large groups of people and comfortable with public speaking

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency with/utilizing USG specific databases to determine personnel eligibility to access classified information such as JPAS/DISS, Scattered Castles, JADE, JADS, Enterprise Security Systems (SIMS), and other databases and record-keeping repositories
  • Develop and conduct initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required
  • Oversee the management personnel records, classified material records, and/or other sensitive records in to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and correctness
  • Lead inventories and records reconciliation actions for multiple sites to ensure accuracy and accountability across the activity/program
  • Review and receive customer approval for activity/program concept of operations (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; Establish innovative procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials
  • Communicate across the security workforce, Boeing engineering, managerial, and technical teams, as well as senior Boeing personnel and U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings, or deviations as may be required
  • Mentor junior staff members to develop their proficiency in Industrial Security skills and requirements
  • Evaluate risk and be able to make security related decisions with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Operational Security and provide feedback to OPSEC plans based on the five step OPSEC Process
