We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our Digital Infrastructure Team. You will be able to bring your extensive operational knowledge and agile delivery to the team with a focus on HPC (High Performance Computing) and centralised research support operations.
You will need to have experience working within either an enterprise or an academic environment, and a good understanding of underpinning infrastructure technologies and principles such as: cyber security, network routing and switching, compute and storage technologies, and cloud environments.
As a member of the Digital Infrastructure team, you will be supporting the key University services our colleagues and students rely on. You’ll be using your advanced technical knowledge to deliver improvements, support, maintenance, cyber security, design, and project/product management to ensure services deliver the best student and colleague experience.
A key element of the role will be in the support of HPC infrastructures both on site and in the cloud, so pre-existing skills and experience in Linux, scripting, automation, containerisation, cloud, security appliances, compute and storage hardware, and academic experience would be advantageous.
Members of the Digital Infrastructure Team work in a very collaborative manner, so even if your experience and skills do not fit all the aspects of the Job Description and this advert, please consider an application.
As one of the largest employers in the city, the University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), progressive pay rates, access to discounts at popular stores and more. This is a great opportunity to start your career at the University.
