Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The senior specialist will manage server infrastructure encompassing Windows Server, Linux environments, from design and configuration to ongoing maintenance and security hardening. Lead initiatives in virtualization using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM to optimize efficiency and performance. Design and oversee Storage Area Network for data integrity and performance and implement security measures aligned with industry standards. Administer Active Directory, including user accounts and security policies, and implement monitoring and backup solutions like eG Innovations and Veeam. Develop automation tools for system maintenance, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Conduct capacity planning, maintain SLA standards, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring comprehensive documentation of operations.
Ideal Candidate: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, particularly in Windows Server administration. Proficiency with Wintel servers (Dell), VMware, Microsoft server products, and Symantec is required, along with a proven track record in designing on-premises data center architectures. Key skills include configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, and security practices, and familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Additionally, experience in scripting and automation, strong troubleshooting skills, and effective communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
