Responsibilities:
MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA - ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing effective support to infrastructure and internal security areas. The role provides expertise to enable highly available systems, and for facilitating efficient and effective ICT systems nationally. You will also be responsible for providing local IT support and facilitating efficient and effective ICT solutions to local problems. In this Senior role, you will provide technical expertise and enable correct and fit for purpose application of systems.
KO TĀU NĀ I TĒNEI TŪRANGA - WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
Take ownership of this Senior Infrastructure Engineer position using your varied skillset, and your proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.
Significant experience in Cloud Technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, and an excellent understanding of the operational requirements of a complex, multi-vendor, multi-faceted production environment.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’D EXPECT YOU WILL HAVE:
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineering or equivalent position at a senior level
- Strong understanding of web server software and web application deployments
- Extensive problem-solving skills in a complex IT environment
- Good knowledge of the relevant key technologies including Citrix, VMware, Microsoft server and Exchange
- The ability to break down complex information into plain English for a wide audience
