Technical Services provides a range of services to the University across the globe. With campuses in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong. Services include Academic Technical Support, Projects and Change, Enterprise Architecture, Information Governance and Information Security, along with Business Resilience, and most importantly to this role Digital Services which provides all IT and AV provision. The Service is at the forefront of new developments and allows the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of University life.
Responsibilities:
As Senior Infrastructure Engineer, in this technically hands on role, you are responsible for a variety of tasks related to planning, organising, and managing the activities of the Digital Services IT Operations Teams. This includes:
- Management of IT technical specialists, third party partners and University stakeholders as appropriate.
- Providing expert technical guidance to others relating to a variety of IT Operational related activities.
- Developing and managing the Digital Services IT Operational Plan.
Monitoring and evaluating IT systems and networks for operational effectiveness, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, incidents, and problems accordingly.
